Galveston matters, and we need a Mayor who will make sure this message is
clearly heard: Galveston is more than a storm ravaged Island with a history;
it is an iconic Texas coastal community with a future.
Ike badly damaged our homes and lives, but as a community we’re determined
to recover together. There’s no place like Galveston, and it’s vital that our
generation shows the same courage and resolve that Galvestonians in 1900
showed when faced with the seemingly impossible task of rebuilding. We owe it
to those who came before us – and of course to those who will follow – to summon
our finest effort. I’m running to be your next Mayor because I want to work
for you every day to show the world that Galveston’s best days are ahead. The
2010 election is our opportunity to make things right, so let’s take this positive
and historic step together. We are all Galvestonians – One Galveston - and it’s
time for Galveston’s future to make us proud.
I ask you to join me in this campaign for Galveston’s future. You can start by
exploring the Jaworski for Galveston Mayor website: Here I explain my position
on our major issues. You can sign up for campaign updates, learn of upcoming
events and join our growing list of supporters.
This campaign is meaningful because of your interest and support. So, freely
share your ideas. Send me an email, mail me a letter or call me.
Better yet, look for me in Island neighborhoods, churches, businesses and
restaurants. I will be there to listen and respond. Let’s discuss what we’d like to
see in Galveston’s future.
Our past made us grand, but our future will make us great. One Galveston.
Onward!
